Evening Scene

This image is a little different from everything else I’ve shot this year. I’ve walked in this park, and by this scene, countless times, and with the weather we’ve had lately the stream that feeds into the pond has been full. The way that the water lit up gold as the sun was setting caught my eye, so I decided to capture it. I’m a fan of the way the trees frame the sun from this perspective, and it was so peaceful and still that I was able to get great reflections in the stream. I think what I like best about this picture is the feeling of moment that it has. When you come across something like this, slow down and take the opportunity to appreciate it.

Stay safe, bye for now.
