Silhouettes and Sunsets

You may have noticed that a lot of the photos I take in the evening feature dark silhouettes in the foreground and mid-ground. I favor these types of images because I like the strong contrast, and it makes the sky the only thing communicating the mood. Distractions get minimized, while patterns that are still present stand out more. It gives a sense of the light fading as the day comes to an end. I took this particular picture not far from home, I think it portrays West Texas quite well.
