I’ll be honest, sometimes I have trouble finding inspiration during the summer, but nature should be appreciated at all times of the year.
I go on lots of walks, and because of the heat I travel light, which usually means only bringing one lens with me on the camera. I remind myself to stop, look around, and focus on finding small details. With sunny days and harsh light I try to look for strong contrast, bright colors, tones, and textures. I do a lot of playing around with these shots, especially with aperture and depth of field. I look at these outings as an opportunity to stretch myself.
When you want something to be different, you have to try different things.
This month’s video is a new episode in the “How I Did It” series that looks at some of the Photoshop techniques that I use to take Milky Way and astro images to the next level. Bye for now.
